This is the virtual (downloadable) version of the 17th annual calendar of 3D cryptic crosswords, featuring ingenious three-dimensional crossword puzzles clued by some of the UK’s best cryptic setters.
2025 3D Crossword Calendar contributors
The grids in the 2025 edition were designed by Calluna, Patch, Bozzy, Chalicea, Rikki, Absolution, Sirius, Komorník, Shark and Gin. Clues to challenge and charm are provided by Imogen, Carpathian, Boatman, Curmudgeon, Raich, Paul, Sirius, Komorník, Vlad, Soup, Shark and Enigmatist.
One solution per month is also given an often surreal visual treatment in a cryptic drawing by Frank Paul.
Each puzzle is paired with a beautiful background photo which hints at the puzzle’s theme.
Monthly competitions
Solvers can submit their completed puzzle entry each month via our website. Each month a winner is drawn from the correct entries. Subscribe to our newsletter for all the competition details and deadlines.
3D Crossword World Championship
Owning a copy of the 2025 3D Crossword Calendar is a prerequisite for entry into the 2025 3D Crossword World Championship. Solvers who successfully complete 12 puzzles throughout the year are eligible to enter a tie-break competition requiring skill and imagination. Don’t miss out!
